Peritoneum

A membrane which lines the abdominal cavity and covers a majority of the organs contained within the abdomen. Multi-layered, the Parietal Peritoneum lines the pelvic and abdominal cavities while the Visceral Peritoneum covers the surfaces of most of the abdominal organs.
